I am a Reading/Resource teacher for Grades K-4. I am teaching Reading to Grades 1, 3, and 4 as well as Reading and Phonics to Grade 2, Spelling and Handwriting to Grade 3, Life Skills to Grades 1-4, and Health for Grades 5-6.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Student assignments are posted each day on the assignment board as well as on the Our Lady of Mercy Website.
Each student is given time at the start of each class to copy the information into their student planner.
They are expected to complete and submit each assignment in a timely fashion.
For your convenience, student assignments and necessary reminders will also be posted on this web site and updated daily or as needed.
Please check online and your child's planner each night to view homework that has been assigned.
Don't forget to add your information so you can receive the daily homework updates for your child.

Reading 1, 2, 3, and 4 General Information
Part of each day’s Homework is to read for at least 15-20 minutes. Reading Homework is posted Monday through Thursday. Please check online and your child's planner for the work that is due. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Assessments will be given on a regular basis and sent home for your signature. Please return these assessments back to school the next school day.
Reading 1 General Information
Please record this on the Weekly Reading Log and return to school each Friday beginning in October.
Be sure to practice reading the words that we learn each week that are located in your child's Your Turn Practice Book.
Spelling 3 General Information
Students copy the weekly words into their student planner to study at home on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Orton Gillingham techniques are incorporated into the lesson to provide additional practice for word mastery.
Students should study the weekly word list for homework each night to prepare for the assessment on Friday.
Completed blue homework notebooks should be handed in every Friday when they come to class.
