Our Primary School Division is located in Building One of the School. Classes within this division lay the foundation for all future learning at Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Along with an introduction to academics, a primary student’s education includes knowledge of God, family, and community, and forming respect for others.
Pre-Kindergarten
Our Lady of Mercy Academy Preschool fosters an environment where children are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm for discovery, excitement for learning, and passion for creativity. Our teachers support the children as they develop their independence and become comfortable with a group routine. Children learn through play and direct educational experience. Parents and teachers work together to nurture each child's evolving self-esteem. We encourage our children to become problem solvers, express themselves thoughtfully, and grow in self-confidence.
We conduct an academically based program in large, spacious classrooms with private bathrooms. The program offers separate classes in art, music, physical education, story art, and technology.
Social development is central to our philosophy. Our experienced teachers create a safe environment for the children to move toward reaching their full potential with others by taking turns, listening, participating, and sharing experiences and feelings.
